Lord God, you lift us up in all ways;
to you we place our trust and devotion.
Though we are fallen, you never cease to welcome us back into your love.
Though we grow weary, you give us strength to carry on.
Though we tire of seeking forgiveness for our transgressions, you never tire of forgiving.
You have purchased for us the gift of eternal joy
through the life, passion, and death of your only begotten son.
Although we can never match your faithfulness and love,
we live to praise and glorify you.
Therefore, we ask you to send your Spirit upon us
and give us the grace to imitate our Lord, Jesus Christ,
and to live in communion with all your people.
Lord, let us welcome you into our hearts
so that we may come to love others as you have loved us.

We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
